Strawberry Cheese Panini
    A lighter version from the Publix Apron Meals recipe file

    2 slices hearty multi-grain bread
    1 TBSP Low Fat Cream Cheese
    1 TBSP Reduced Sugar Smuckers Strawberry Preserves

    Directions

    • 1. Spread low fat cream cheese on one slice of 7-grain or similar bread.
    • 2. Spread low sugar preserves or jam on the other slice.
    • 3. Sandwich together and spray outside lightly with spray margarine or butter flavor cooking spray if desired. 
    • 4. Grill on a George Forman grill, panini press, or in a non stick skillet. 
    • 5. Allow to cool for several minutes (filling will be *HOT*) .... Dust lightly with powdered sugar if desired ... cut into wedges and serve as a snack, dessert, or breakfast treat.
