Grits Casserole
Freezes well, before or after baking
Yield: 8 servings

Oven: 350° 

6 cups water
1 1/2 cups grits
1 lb. sharp cheese, cubed
3 eggs
3/4 cup margarine
3 teaspoons savory salt
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon paprika
2 dashes Tabasco sauce

Optional:
Garlic powder to taste

Bring water to a boil and add grits. Stir in cheese. Beat eggs and add to grits mixture. Add margarine and remaining ingredients, mix well. Poor into a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Bake for one hour at 350°

Hint: Divide between two 1 1/2 quart casserole dishes, bake one to eat, freeze one for later.

Great as a side dish for any meal.
