Love in Action
We can only learn to love by loving.
They do not love that do not show their love.
Love is a verb. We can't say it enough. Love must not only be spoken, but must also be shown. The beginning of love is God. He showed his love in the most sacrificial of ways so we could know our incredible value to him. The price of our adoption was the emptying of heaven of its greatest treasure, God the Son, who is our Savior.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
The greatest weakness of most humans is their hesitancy to tell others how much they love them while they're still alive.
When you put loving thoughts and behavior into the world, you plant seeds of self-respect. When you put unloving thoughts and behavior into the world, you destroy seeds of self-respect.
Love is not only something you feel. It is something you do.
If we want a love message to be heard,
Our love must not be a thing of words and fine talk. It must be a thing of action and sincerity.
Love has a hem to her garment
One of the best ways to persuade others is with your ears...by listening to them.
The only way to speak the truth is to speak lovingly.
Listening is an attitude of the heart, a genuine desire to be with another which both attracts and heals.
What we need to know about loving is no great mystery. We all know what constitutes loving behavior; we need but act upon it, not continually question it. Over-analysis often confuses the issue and in the end brings us no closer to insight. We sometimes become too busy classifying, separating, and examining, to remember that love is easy. It's we who make it complicated.
Saying "I Love You" is like a warm fuzzy, it feels good for only a short while. When you tell someone you love them by doing something for them, the message will mean much more and last longer.
If one wishes to know love, one must live love, in action. Thoughts, readings and discourse on love are of value only as they present questions to be acted upon.
A bell is no bell till you ring it
Love doesn't sit there like a stone.
It has to be made like bread; remade all the time, made new.
Love grows by giving. The love we give away is the only love we keep. The only way to retain love is to give it away.
Some people never say the words "I love you"
All of the beautiful sentiments
in the world weigh less than a single lovely action.
Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own home. Give love to your children, to a wife or husband, to a next-door neighbor.
Love seeketh not itself to please, but for another gives its ease.
Love and desire are the spirit's wings to great deeds.
The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.
I like not only to be loved, but to be told I am loved
