Peace
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD.
"They are plans for good and not for disaster,
to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you
pray,
I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will
find me
when you seek me. I will be found by you," says the LORD.
Jeremiah 29:11-14
"I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting
love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself."
Jeremiah 31:3
Don't be afraid, for I am with you.
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you. I will help you.
I will uphold you
with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
"Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare of the LORD: He alone is my refuge,
my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him.
For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from the fatal plague.
He will shield you with his wings.
He will shelter you with his feathers.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor fear the dangers of the day,
nor dread the plague that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand
are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
But you will see it with your eyes;
you will see how the wicked are punished.
If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make
the Most High your shelter,
no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your dwelling.
For he orders his angels to protect you wherever
you go.
They will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking
your foot on a stone.
You will trample down lions and poisonous snakes;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue them and honor them.
I will satisfy them with a long life and give them my
salvation."
Psalms 91
Take delight in the LORD,
and he will give you your heart's desires.
Commit everything you do to the LORD.
Trust him, and he will help you.
Psalms 37:4-5
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who
are weary
and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
For only I, the Son of Man, have come to earth
and will return to heaven again.
And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole
in the wilderness, so I, the Son of Man,
must be lifted up on a pole, so that everyone
who believes in me will have eternal life.
"For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
will not perish but have eternal life.
God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn it, but to save it.
There is no judgment awaiting
those who trust him."
John 3:13-18
"I assure you, I am the gate for the sheep,"
he [Jesus] said.
"All others who came before me were thieves and robbers.
But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am
the gate.
Those who come in through me will be saved.
Wherever they go, they will find green pastures.
The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.
My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.
"I am the good shepherd.
The good shepherd lays down
his life for the sheep."
John 10:7-11
I write this to you who believe in the Son of
God,
so that you may know you have eternal life.
And we can be confident that he will listen to us
whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will.
And if we know he is listening when we make our requests,
we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for.
1 John 5:13-15
"If you are thirsty, come to me! If you
believe in me, come and drink!
For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water
will flow out from
within." When he said "living water," he was speaking
of the Spirit, who
would be given to everyone believing in him.
John 7:37-39
That is why we have a great High Priest who has
gone to heaven,
Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop
trusting him.
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses,
for he faced
all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive his mercy,
and we will find grace to help us when we need it.
Hebrews 4:14-16
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give
unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of
God,
and in his good time he will honor you.
Give all your worries and cares to God,
for he cares about what happens to you.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say
it again--rejoice!
Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you
do.
Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has
done.
If you do this, you will experience God's peace,
which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live
in Christ Jesus.
Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right.
Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable.
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Philippians 4:4-8
"Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust
in me [Jesus].
There are many rooms in my Father's home, and I am going
to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would
tell
you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come and
get you,
so that you will always be with me where I am. And you
know
where I am going and how to get there."
John 14:1-4
My prayer for you:
Father, I ask you to bless my friend
reading this right now,
Lord show them a new revelation
of Your love and power.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit
at this very moment.
Where there is pain,
give them Your peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doubting,
release a renewed confidence
in Your ability to work through them.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion,
I ask You to give them understanding, patience,
and strength as they learn submission to
Your leading.
Where there is spiritual stagnation,
I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness,
and by drawing them into greater
intimacy with You.
Where there is fear, reveal Your love,
and release to them Your courage.
Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it,
and break its hold over my friend's life.
Bless their finances, give them greater vision,
and raise up leaders, and friends to support,
and encourage them.
Give each of them discernment to recognize
the demonic forces around them,
and reveal to them the power they have
in You to defeat it.
I ask You to do these things in Jesus' Name.
Amen
